Company Dravske elektrarne Maribor, d. o. o. (DEM)

is the leading company in the field of efficient use of renewable energy sources in Slovenia, focusing on development to provide quality energy in an environmentally friendly manner, with the goal of economic performance and consistent sustainable development of the environment and the market in which it operates. With eight large hydroelectric power plants on the Drava River, five small hydroelectric power plants and five solar power plants, DEM produces almost a quarter of all Slovenian electricity.

Company Petrol Geo, d.o.o

is the leading Slovenian company in the field of research, production and maintenance of oil, gas and geothermal wells in Slovenia. After the discovery of oil, gas, mineral water, and geothermal sources in north-eastern Slovenia, the company also became a producer of hydrocarbons and geothermal energy. Petrol Geo is the only qualified contractor of mining works for deep geothermal wells in Slovenia, which employs a professionally qualified team for designing and managing projects in accordance with mining legislation and applicable international standards, including work management in the field of geotechnology and deep well drilling.

University of Maribor

is the second largest and second oldest university in Slovenia. It has 17 faculties offering graduate and undergraduate study programmes. The Laboratory for Heat and Power is a department at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology (FKKT) of the University of Maribor (UM), and is one of the leading research institutions in the field of the utilisation of renewable or non-renewable low-temperature sources and geothermal energy.

Geological Survey of Slovenia (GeoZS)

is a public research institution. The primary purpose of GeoZS is to provide the best available knowledge of geological structure of the territory of the Republic of Slovenia. It carries out geological mapping, scientific research, research projects and manages databases and geological archives. With its knowledge of geology of the Slovenian territory, it works with administrative bodies, the business sector and other institutions.

HSE INVEST, d. o. o.

is a company for engineering and construction of energy facilities, providing consulting engineering and design services. Since the establishment of the company in 2002, the company has gained extensive experience in the field of energy, hydropower, thermal energy, renewable energy sources and infrastructure facilities. The most important activities of the company are management of development projects in the pre-investment phase, management of construction projects of new energy facilities, management of reconstruction projects of existing facilities and project and investment documentation design. HSE Invest has in whole implemented the design of the pilot geothermal power plant.
